Welcome to the HARVEST FAIR,

One  of the  101 Best Cowboy Gatherin's

in America!!

That's right pardner!  American Cowboy Magazine has included the HARVEST FAIR in their annual list for the last several years.  The Harvest Fair has been recognized as one of the top Western Events in America.  Events on the list are described as "Cant miss western events" and "the best western fairs and festivals."  The Harvest Fair was one of only a few events listed from California.

We are truly proud of this great honor and would like to thank all of the entertainers, old west re-enactors, vendors, sponsors, volunteers, contributors  and supporters who have helped  the Harvest Fair to be the great Old West event that it is!  Find out why the Harvest Fair has been named to this list of “101 Can’t Miss Western Events.”  Come on out to the Harvest Fair on Nov. 1,2 and 8,9 2008!!!

HARVEST FAIR!!

HERE COME THE COWBOYS AND INDIANS!!

The cowboys will be trailin’ their herds into town from Texas, Arizona, Fallbrook, San Juan Capistrano,  and who knows where else.  They’ll be startin’ to set up camp at the Harvest Fair in San Bernardino, California.

The Desert Guns will be ridin’ into the valley and lookin for some land for their tents.  Tombstone Ed  is expectin’ to set up his camp  and is hopin’ to do a little minin’.  He had good luck in Southern Arizona and hopes for the same here.  Rumor has it that the notorious Cross Creek Cowboys will be trailin’ a herd into town soon and settin up camp.  Pistols’ n Petticoats will be building a town!!  They don’t mess around with tents.  Pistols n’ Petticoats are the host Old West Posse.

Blood Creek is due in this year too.  They got way laid down the road but are expected to be here. The Mohave Muleskinners will be ridin’ down the Cajon Pass.  The W.E.ST. Rough Riders are bringin’ a military detachment. Rumor has it (again) that they rode with Teddy Roosevelt at San Juan Hill and have some stories to tell.  They’ll be ramrodn’ the Veteran’s Day Parade and Ceremony.  Code of the West is also expected  to ride in when they get around to it.  Some of the Native Americans will be  comin’ in, settin’ up a village and   doin’ some tradin.’  Old man Riley said he’s gonna build a log cabin at the Harvest Fair, and sell it!! Any takers??

The Border Renegades, Jack’s Posse, Nat Love, Tony Dorty, Deacon Leonne,  Gunfighters For Hire,  the Old West Reckoners, and the Pioneertown Posse,  have all been rumored to be headin’ in this direction.

“Keepers of the Ways”  will be settin’ up their Indian village.  Choctaw, Quapaw, Shawnee, Cherokee and Lakota will all be represented. Basket Moon, Bear, Light Eagle, Red Weasel and Dancing Elk will be doing beadwork, basket making,  flint knapping and story telling about the Native American way of life.  They are trying to keep their ways from dyin’ out.

And ya know once the cowboys, miners  and Indians get in, the old west sutlers won’t be far behind.  The Harvest Fair is gonna have more mercantile than ever before. Some of the merchants that have showed up in the past include: the Cloak Drummer, the Traditional General Store, Beaver Dick with  Hanson’s Leather and Supply.   And  there’s always gonna be some nice foo feraws for the ladies.  Some other merchants have been    Purple Clover with fancy soaps and potions, Victorian Designs by Lily  and Alter Years  with more fancy stuff for the ladies.   The Grand  Victorian and  Frontier Design have been hemin’ & hawin’ about comin’(no pun intended). If’n they git around to it, they’ll be here too.

The Buckskin BBQ, Santoya’s Cantine, Golden Palace Chinese BBQ,  and Bob’s Roasted Corn   are some of the businesses will be cookin up old west style vittles at the Harvest Fair!!

Once things get settled down,  Law Dogs n’ Ladies and the Earps are expected to roll into town. They ain’t much for cattle or minin’.  They’ve never been accused of havin’ calluses on their hands.  Some people say they just like to fleece the cowboys. Those Earps call themselves entrepreneurs, whatever that means.   We know that they frequent the gamblin’ halls and saloons and try to separate the hardworkin’ cowboys and miners from their money.

I must say, from what we’ve heard, they’re pretty good at it.  Some folks say  the Earps are just ambitious. You folks are gonna have to come on down to the Harvest Fair and judge ‘em for yerself.

And some folks are sayin’ that Doc Holiday is gonna meet up with the Earps here at the Harvest Fair.  If that’s true ya’ll better hold onto yer wallets and purses.

So Ransom, Dinky and Pearl, Kat and Fancy, Sagebrush, Sonora, Muleskinner Jim, Lucky, Capn’ Ball, Smokey Jack, Wyatt, Doc and Kate, Lou, Slim, Poker Alice, Buffalo, Dyna Moe, Dangerous Dan, and all you other varmints, cowboys, cowgirls, miners, bankers, dance hall ladies, school teachers,  in-laws and outlaws….
